About
Pocket Playbook started as a shared notes file between a few friends who kept texting each other about where to tap in some tricky level. At some point the notes got too long, so we turned them into a proper site. Nothing fancy, just people who like games writing about games.,We cover a mix of genres on purpose. Someone on the team is into slow strategy games, someone else only touches racing and arcade stuff, and a couple of us will play any RPG with a decent story. That spread means the guides don't all sound the same.,When we pick a game to review, the rule is simple: one of us has to actually finish a meaningful chunk of it. No reading other articles and rewording them. We take our own screenshots, we note the moments that frustrated us, and we say when a game just isn't fun.,The site is small and we like it that way. If a guide helps one person get past a wall they've been stuck on for a week, that's the whole point.
