Meadow Market

★★★★☆ 4.1 Editor rating

Meadow Market is comfort food in game form. You grow crops, tend a few animals, and run a roadside stall where travelers stop by with specific requests. It's gentle, repetitive in the way good sims are, and easy to drop in and out of.

What keeps it from feeling like busywork is the seasonal rhythm. Certain crops only grow at certain times, and villagers' tastes shift, so you're always nudging your little business in a new direction. I enjoyed planning my spring layout the most.

There's no pressure and no fail state, which won't suit everyone. But if you want something to tend while a podcast plays, it fits perfectly.
